Penrhyn Castle: A Mock-Gothic Fairytale

I love the masonry at Penrhyn Castle, the place is full intricate embellishments with mythical creatures interwoven into the decorations in most rooms of the castle. I spent some time there recently to sketch these beautiful pieces of art

The castle itself isn’t technically a castle, it is a mock-gothic folly and the carvings there are a little too modern for the style I want to create in my world, but i think it is good practice for me to look at other styles and practice my drawing skills.
